PDS rice illegal sale racket busted

Karimanagr task force sleuths busted a Public Distribution System (PDS) rice illegal sale racket and arrested three persons on Sunday.
The accused are S Rajamallu of Rajiv Nagar in Manakondur and truck drivers, Salauddin and Mubin. Acting on specific information, police intercepted a truck with Rajasthan registration number at Bommakal bypass road in Karimnagar on Sunday morning.
Police found 18 tonnes of PDS rice in the truck. The truck drivers were arrested. During the interrogation, the duo confessed that absconding accused, S Moses, along with his father, Rajamallu has been procuring PDS rice from beneficiaries and selling it for profit to buyers in other states.
