A Showcase of Vietnam’s Rice Heritage

Promoting Sustainable Rice Cultivation
One of the key initiatives of the festival is the launch of the project “Sustainable Development of One Million Hectares Specializing in High-Quality Rice Cultivation and Low Emissions, Associated with Green Growth in the Mekong Delta until 2030.” This project aims to establish one million hectares of high-quality, low-emission rice cultivation areas by implementing innovative processes and reorganizing the value chain.

The event provided an opportunity for dialogue, sharing experiences, and coordinating policies to promote trade and investment in the rice industry. International organizations such as the World Bank, UNDP, and USAID will participate in the festival.
Four Major Workshops
The festival will host four major conferences focusing on various aspects of the rice industry. The workshops will cover topics such as South-South cooperation for food system transformation, science, technology, and innovation in rice, and the global rice market. These conferences aim to foster dialogue, share information, and promote sustainable development and market trends in the rice industry.
Celebratory Events and Records
In addition to the conferences and exhibitions, the festival will feature a gala dinner and the establishment of three Vietnamese records. These records include the “Longest Journey of Vietnamese Rice,” a Vietnam Map Model made from specialty rice varieties, and the event of processing the most cakes from rice and sticky rice.
