Millions stolen during home invasion
Eight armed suspects entered the house of a stage drama producer in an attempt to extort money. The producer, Muhammad Imran, had been receiving demands for extortion from Shani Dhillon for quite some time. When the producer refused to pay, the suspects forcefully entered his house on December 31st, 2023, at around 6am. Imran’s wife opened the door and the accused barged in with firearms.
The suspects broke open the lock of the main cupboard in the bedroom and stole Rs900,000 in cash, two passports, two identity cards, two gold watches worth Rs50,000, two check books, an ATM card, and a 40-inch LCD television worth Rs50,000. Additionally, they took a microwave oven, ten suits, three leather jackets, a motorcycle registration book, the deed to Imran’s house, a woman’s purse, ten pairs of shoes, ghee, rice, dry fruits, and other goods.
Imran reported the incident to the Civil Lines Police, who have launched raids to apprehend the suspects. It is crucial to catch these criminals to ensure the safety and security of the community. Extortion and armed robberies create a sense of fear and vulnerability among the public. Swift action must be taken to bring the culprits to justice.
