Ja Solar Signs Agreements with Three Top Pakistani Companies for Supplying 600MW N-Type PV Modules
During the Solar Pakistan 2024 event, JA Solar, a renowned manufacturer of high-performance photovoltaic (PV) products, has signed memorandum of understanding (MOU) agreements with three leading Pakistani companies, namely Garibsons, SM Solar, and Wasiq Traders. These agreements will see a total capacity of 600MW in PV module supply. This collaboration represents a significant step in promoting sustainable and low-carbon energy solutions in Pakistan, and JA Solar is fully committed to supporting the country’s transition to greener energy.
Garibsons, established in 1974, is Pakistan’s largest rice exporter, operating in over 100 countries worldwide. In addition to delivering high-quality rice products, the company is deeply committed to sustainable development and environmental protection. The MOU signed between Garibsons and JA Solar is in line with the company’s dedication to sustainable energy solutions and environmental responsibility.
SM Solar is a subsidiary of Nishat Chunian Group, a key player in Pakistan’s textile and power sectors. The company has signed an MOU with JA Solar for the supply of n-type PV modules. This is a significant milestone for SM Solar, as it reflects the company’s strong commitment to promoting the use of renewable energy sources and contributing to the green and sustainable development of energy in Pakistan.
Wasiq Traders specializes in importing PV modules and inverters, and it currently holds the prestigious position of being Pakistan’s number one PV module importer. By signing the MOU with JA Solar, Wasiq Traders, as a distributor of JA Solar, will introduce JA Solar’s products to the Pakistani market, thus promoting the development of the local PV industry.
JA Solar made its official entry into the n-type product market in 2022 with the release of its first n-type module. The company aims to meet the market’s demand for high-efficiency products. In 2023, JA Solar launched its latest generation n-type flagship module, the DeepBlue 4.0 Pro. This series of modules incorporates innovative technologies such as Bycium+ cell technology, SMBB, and high-density encapsulation, resulting in lower attenuation, higher bifacial power generation, and improved high-temperature power generation performance. The flagship module in the 72-cell format measures 2465mm*1134mm, achieves a maximum production power of 635W, and boasts a conversion efficiency of 22.8%. It is currently the most powerful product in the 182 series PV modules.
The signing of these agreements not only signifies the collaboration between JA Solar and Garibsons, SM Solar, and Wasiq Traders, but also represents a concrete initiative to promote the renewable energy industry’s development. This endeavor will make substantial contributions to Pakistan’s PV industry, facilitating the green and low-carbon transition of the country’s energy sector.
