REAP Delegation Holds Productive Meeting with Department of Plant Protection
A delegation from the Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP), led by Chairman Mr. Chela Ram Kewlani, recently met with Mr. Allah Ditta Abid, the Director General of the Department of Plant Protection (DPP), along with Nasir Ahmad, Deputy Director (Quarantine), on October 10th, 2022. The meeting, which included senior members from REAP and its committees, focused on important topics related to the rice export industry.
During the meeting, Mr. Allah Ditta Abid extended his congratulations to the newly elected office bearers and members of REAP. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the DPP and REAP for the growth and development of the rice trade.
The REAP delegation took this opportunity to highlight several key issues. One of the main topics discussed was the potential to open up the Mexican market for Pakistani rice exporters. Additionally, the delegation emphasized the need for the registration of rice mills to facilitate exports to Russia and China.
