The Utility Stores’ Ramadan Relief Package is set to provide relief to the public by offering discounted prices on essential food items. This package will be available through the Utility Stores Corporation and will remain operational until Chand Raat.

Starting from the beginning of Ramadan, the Federal government has decided to activate the Ramadan package for Utility Stores across the country. The aim is to provide special subsidies of up to 7.5 billion rupees, which will be distributed to the public through the extensive network of the corporation.

To facilitate the public during the holy month, the Prime Minister has announced a special subsidy of 7.5 billion rupees, which will be disseminated through the nationwide network of the Utility Stores Corporation.

This relief package will be operational from March 5th and will offer subsidized rates on 19 essential food items. These items include flour, ghee, cooking oil, sugar, lentils, chickpeas, white gram, gram flour, dates, rice, tea, spices, milk, and beverages.

To avail these subsidized items, registration in the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) is mandatory. However, there is no limit on the purchase of other items.

Under this package, a 10-kilogram bag of flour will be available for Rs648, ghee per kilogram for Rs365, and sugar for Rs109 per kilogram. There will be a relief of Rs25 given on cooking oil per liter, Rs25 for lentils and chickpeas, Rs50 for dates and nuts, Rs25 for Basmati rice per kilogram, and tea at Rs100 for 800 grams. Additionally, special discounts of 30 rupees per liter will be offered on Tetra Pak milk.

In addition, individuals registered in the Benazir Income Support Program will receive 20 kilograms of flour, 5 kilograms of sugar, 5 kilograms of ghee, and 3 kilograms of rice, lentils, and cooking oil on a monthly basis during Ramadan.

For those who are not registered in the Unique Income Support Program, immediate registration can be done at the BISP regional offices or the dedicated BISP registration counters at Utility Stores.

Furthermore, the Utility Stores Corporation has arranged special discounts of up to 15 percent on over 1,000 items for general consumers. The Utility Stores’ Ramadan Relief Package will be available until Chand Raat.
