Delivery of Ramazan Ration Bags
The Punjab government’s Nigehban Ramzan Package has commenced the delivery of ration bags to households in the Multan division. Over 900,000 individuals in the division will receive these bags, ensuring their access to essential food items. The quality of the food items is being closely monitored by the Punjab Food Authority (PFA).
Each ration bag is equipped with a QR code, which will be matched with the recipient’s identity card before delivery. This ensures that the bags reach the correct individuals. The verification process for beneficiaries has been completed through the Benazir Income Support Programme and the use of NADRA data. If any issues arise, beneficiaries can contact the Assistant Commissioner’s office for assistance.
Ensuring Nourishment for All
The contents of the ration bags include 10 kilogrammes of flour, 2 kilogrammes of sugar, and 2 kilogrammes of rice. The distribution of these bags will greatly benefit the communities, with Multan district accommodating 337,138 people, Khanewal hosting 216,765 individuals, Wahari accommodating 234,169 people, and Lodhran catering to 136,840 individuals. To maintain proper records and streamline the process, all information will be compiled in the Assistant Commissioner’s office.
This initiative by the Punjab government reflects their commitment to addressing the needs of the people, especially during the holy month of Ramzan. By delivering ration bags directly to households, they ensure that every family has access to necessary provisions. The Punjab Food Authority’s monitoring ensures that the distributed food items are of high quality and meet the required standards.
