ICCI Invites Saudi Importers to Source Agricultural Products from Pakistan
The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) has extended an invitation to Saudi importers to consider importing agricultural products from Pakistan. With its high-quality food products and an import-reliant market, Saudi Arabia has the opportunity to meet its consumption needs through Pakistani agricultural goods. Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, the President of ICCI, emphasized the potential of Pakistani wheat, rice, fruits, and vegetables in the Saudi market and assured full cooperation in increasing exports to Saudi Arabia.
In addition to traditional agricultural products, Pakistan also possesses export-worthy offerings in the form of meat, poultry products, textiles, IT products, surgical instruments, sports equipment, leather goods, and construction materials. These commodities can find a good market in Saudi Arabia.
The ICCI emphasizes the importance of bilateral trade and investment relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, which would not only create job opportunities but also foster prosperity in both nations. The Chamber is committed to facilitating strong business links between the private sectors of both countries and exploring untapped areas of cooperation.
During discussions held between ICCI President Ahsan Bakhtawari and Fadel Abdallah, General Manager of Al-Shaqaq Trading Est in Saudi Arabia, the possibilities of direct import of food products, fruits, vegetables, seafood, and livestock from Pakistan were explored. Promoting direct trade between the two countries was emphasized to achieve mutually beneficial results for the people and economies of both nations.
Zafar Bakhtawari, former President ICCI and Secretary General UBG Pakistan, highlighted the good relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and stressed the potential for further strengthening the trade and economic ties. Other prominent individuals present at the occasion included Nasir Hussain Raki Group Leader Gilgit Baltistan, Haider Raza Kazmi, Syed Javed Kazmi Group KPK Chamber of Commerce, and Muhammad Naveed Malik.
This invitation serves as an opportunity for Saudi importers to benefit from the diverse range of agricultural products that Pakistan has to offer.
