Pakistan made its debut at the International Human Resources & Labour Services Expo in Riyadh from December 24 to 27. Led by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OP&HRD), Jawad Sohrab Malik, this participation marks a significant milestone in promoting Pakistan’s workforce on a global scale. The expo provided an opportunity for Pakistan to showcase its skilled labor force and forge agreements with Saudi and international companies, thus enhancing employment opportunities for Pakistani workers abroad. The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, including the Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC), was also present at the expo to demonstrate the potential of Pakistan’s technical workforce. The OEC’s Managing Director Naseer Khan Kashani was in attendance, along with Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmad Farooq and representatives from multinational organizations. This participation not only helps Pakistan understand international market needs but also allows the country to tailor its skills to meet the evolving demands of the job market. It further opens avenues for collaboration with Saudi entities in vocational training and skill development, positioning OEC as a leading exporter of skilled manpower from Pakistan. The participation in the expo showcases Pakistan’s commitment to its citizens, both at home and abroad, and signifies the government’s efforts to provide employment opportunities for its workforce.
