In the first four months of the current fiscal year, the export of Pakistani food has seen a remarkable increase of 30%. This surge in exports has been reported by the Institute of Statistics and is valued at over $1.944 billion from July to October.
Among the various food items, rice export has witnessed a significant increase of 30%, surpassing $710 million. Fruits export has also experienced a growth of 13.53%, reaching a volume of $108.9 million. Similarly, spices export has recorded an increase of 24.56%, amounting to $34.7 million.
The report further highlights a surge of 292% in the export of oil seeds and fruits, reaching $306.8 million. Additionally, the export of sugar has doubled, reaching a volume of 2.1 million dollars.
Meat exports have witnessed a growth of 18.77%, totaling $152.5 million. However, fish exports have seen a decrease of 8%, while vegetable exports have dropped by 38%.
Unfortunately, the export of tobacco from Pakistan has experienced a decrease of 21% during the period from July to October.
