A combination of favorable policies, regulatory improvements, and a business-friendly environment is expected to boost Pakistan’s exports to $100 billion in the next two years. This optimistic projection comes from Shahzad Ali Malik, Chairman of the Pakistan Hitech Hybrid Seed Association (PHHSA), who believes that the private sector has shown tremendous growth and resilience despite challenges in the business environment. Malik, also the founder of the Rice Exporters Association Pakistan and a former president of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has been nominated as a member of the Export Advisory Committee by Federal Commerce Minister Dr. Gohar Ejaz.

Malik commends the recent initiatives taken by the caretaker government and the Commerce Ministry to enhance the industry’s competitiveness and create a business-friendly climate. He expresses confidence that these measures will not only improve the country’s exports but also contribute significantly to overall economic prosperity. The minister’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment has driven innovation and entrepreneurship in the private sector. Malik emphasizes that the minister’s efforts to prioritize trade facilitation, reduce bureaucratic obstacles, and promote collaboration between the public and private sectors have streamlined export procedures, making it easier for businesses to explore international markets.

With the enabling environment for businesses and Dr. Ejaz’s strategic vision, Malik believes that the $100 billion export target is not only attainable but also surpassable. He pledges his full cooperation to achieve the national export goals.
