Chinese ambassador and Pakistani FM discuss economic collaboration

In the meeting, Ambassador Jiang Zaidong emphasized the importance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) for both countries and expressed his commitment to further strengthen bilateral cooperation. He commended Pakistan’s efforts in creating a conducive environment for Chinese investments and highlighted the progress made in various CPEC projects.
FM @MIshaqDar50 appreciated China’s unwavering support and underscored the significance of CPEC in boosting Pakistan’s economic development. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to timely completion of CPEC projects and ensuring their smooth implementation.
Both sides acknowledged the successful completion of the first phase of the China-Pakistan Free Trade Agreement (FTA), which has resulted in a significant increase in bilateral trade. They expressed their commitment to further enhance trade cooperation and explore new avenues of economic partnership.
Ambassador Jiang Zaidong also highlighted the importance of people-to-people exchanges and cultural cooperation between China and Pakistan. He mentioned the successful launch of the China-Pakistan Cultural Caravan, which aims to promote cultural diversity and strengthen mutual understanding between the two nations.
