The National Logistics Corporation (NLC) has successfully transported cherries to China, marking the beginning of a fruitful partnership. With the use of specialized refrigerated containers, the NLC ensured that the cherries remained fresh throughout the journey.

In a statement, the NLC announced that the first truck carrying 6 tons of cherries has reached China via the Khunjerab Pass. This is a significant milestone, and another truck is scheduled to depart from Gilgit-Baltistan next week. The journey took only three days, showcasing the efficiency of the NLC’s logistics operations.

The NLC has played a pivotal role in supporting its local partner in establishing a state-of-the-art processing plant. This plant adheres to international quarantine standards and is fully equipped to process, sort, and package premium cherries. Following the successful delivery of the initial consignment, the NLC has plans to regularly ship cherries to various Chinese cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Huizhou.

This development is a testament to the NLC’s commitment to facilitating trade between Pakistan and China. By delivering high-quality cherries to the Chinese market, the NLC is strengthening bilateral relations and opening up new opportunities for Pakistani exporters.
