Matco Foods Launches New Plant for Dextrose Monohydrate Production
Matco Foods Limited (MFL), renowned as one of Pakistan’s largest rice exporters, has recently commenced operations at its state-of-the-art plant in Karachi. The plant specializes in the production of dextrose monohydrate, a versatile corn sugar widely used in the food and beverage industry as a sweetener, thickener, and bulking agent. MFL proudly announced this significant milestone through a filing to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Monday.
MFL’s newly established plant, which stands on the company-owned land at Super Highway Industrial Area in Karachi, has a production capacity of 4,000 metric tons per year for dextrose monohydrate. The plant underwent rigorous testing and meticulous inspection before its commissioning on December 4, 2023.
