Chinese Volunteers Bring Joy and Hope to Underprivileged Children in Pakistan
On a bright and sunny morning in Islamabad, the outskirts of the city were painted with a warm and golden glow. The scene was filled with the joyous laughter of over 100 children who were delighted to receive gift bags from Chinese volunteers. The volunteers distributed flour, rice, and cooking oil as part of their efforts to celebrate the ongoing Islamic fasting month of Ramadan.
The children, who attend a makeshift school in the slums of the capital, could be seen leaping and clapping with happiness, creating a heartwarming sight that showcased the power of kindness and generosity. The gift bags were presented by a group of Chinese and Pakistani volunteers associated with the China-Pakistan Youth Exchange Community and Beijing One Heart Sphere Charity Foundation. In total, they delivered around 200 donation bags to the children and women in the area.
The recipients of these gifts come from underprivileged families, many of whom are orphans, homeless, or have disabled parents. They are familiar with the Chinese volunteers who frequently visit their homes and schools, not just bringing material goods but also immense happiness. The children eagerly await the arrival of their Chinese friends, their faces lighting up with excitement as they anticipate spending time with those who have brought warmth and kindness into their lives.
The Chinese volunteers, mostly university students in Islamabad, have been dedicated in their efforts to support these children. Last week, they brought food and toys, and this time, they provided ration bags filled with flour, rice, and cooking oil to ensure that Ramadan is a little easier for the children and their families.
Yuan Wenhao, a Chinese student studying at the International Islamic University Islamabad, spoke about his volunteer work and the importance of supporting these underprivileged children during Ramadan. He mentioned that they bought food items from the market and personally packed them for the children. Yuan expressed his happiness and contentment in being able to bring love and happiness from China to Pakistan.
Faryal Shah, a teacher at one of the schools that received the donations, expressed her gratitude for the continuous support from the Chinese volunteers. She explained that they not only provide material goods but also take care of the children’s educational needs by providing stationery, books, and other necessities. For the impoverished children who live in shacks and struggle to have enough to eat, the Chinese volunteers are like angels, bringing smiles to their faces.
The women and children who received the gift bags see the efforts of the Chinese volunteers as a beacon of hope and compassion for underprivileged families. They believe that individual efforts, such as those by the volunteers, can make the world a better place for everyone.
