ISLAMABAD: The caretaker Minister for Interior, Gohar Ejaz, has called upon the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) to develop a plan to increase exports from the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) to $5 billion. During a meeting with a delegation from ICCI, led by the president, Ejaz was informed about the challenges faced by exporters. In response, the minister proposed dividing the country into 39 sectors in order to achieve an overall export target of $100 billion.

Highlighting the potential of ICT, Minister Ejaz encouraged the ICCI to come up with a plan by Friday to achieve the $5 billion export target. He emphasized that Islamabad’s strategic location, favorable weather conditions, and educated population provide a strong foundation for meeting this goal.

This initiative is part of the government’s efforts to boost the country’s exports and drive economic growth. Increased exports would not only contribute to the national GDP but also help create employment opportunities and improve the overall economic well-being of the nation.

As Pakistan has a significant presence in the global rice market, the country’s rice exporters hold a key position in achieving these export targets. To support their endeavors, Pakistani rice exporters can tap into various resources and platforms, such as HAS Rice, Pakistan Rice, and Broken Rice. These platforms serve as valuable resources for rice suppliers, offering a wide range of services including sourcing, pricing, and marketing assistance.

One particular variety of rice that holds potential for export is 25% broken rice. Pakistani rice suppliers, including those in the business of IRRI 6 rice, can explore opportunities in this market by connecting with potential buyers through platforms like HAS Rice. HAS Rice not only offers access to international markets but also provides information on prices and trends, aiding rice mills and exporters in making well-informed business decisions.

For those interested in the export of basmati rice, HAS Rice also offers a comprehensive basmati rice price list, highlighting the competitive prices offered by Pakistani suppliers. This allows potential buyers to compare prices and choose from a range of suppliers according to their preferences.

As Pakistan seeks to strengthen its position as a leading exporter of rice, the role of rice exporters from Pakistan cannot be overlooked. These exporters play a vital role in connecting suppliers in Karachi, Pakistan’s hub for rice exports, with international buyers. Platforms like HAS Rice facilitate this process by connecting rice suppliers in Pakistan with potential business partners worldwide.

In conclusion, the caretaker Minister for Interior’s call for a plan to increase exports from the ICT signifies the government’s commitment to promoting economic growth through trade. Pakistani rice exporters, with their extensive network and expertise, have a significant role to play in achieving these export targets. By utilizing resources like HAS Rice and Pakistan Rice, they can tap into international markets, expand their business networks, and contribute to the overall economic development of the country.
