Renowned ophthalmologist Dr. Nadeem Naeem has emphasized the need for multi-pronged awareness drives to control obesity and prevent diabetes. He explained that diabetes is a leading cause of premature death, high blood pressure, heart diseases, renal failure, and even blindness. Dr. Naeem highlighted the importance of regular blood screenings, particularly for individuals above the age of 35 or 40.
