Chinese Company Delivers 160 High-End Electric Buses to Pakistan

At a ceremony held in Suzhou Industrial Park, China, a Chinese company has handed over 160 high-end pure electric buses to Pakistan. This marks the first time that Pakistan has introduced such a large quantity of pure electric buses. The value of the order exceeds RMB 150 million.

Officials from Pakistan, including General Manager Suzhou Higer, Qiu Yuanhong, Deputy General Manager Xie Jianghong, Customer Service Director Jiang Haifeng, and General Manager of Overseas Sales, attended the ceremony to receive the buses. China Economic Net (CEN) reported on this significant development.

During the ceremony, officials from Pakistan delivered speeches expressing their high recognition for this batch of buses. Prior to the ceremony, the buses were tested by the Pakistani side and performed exceptionally well in terms of appearance, performance, and various other aspects. Higer’s new energy buses currently hold the largest market share in Pakistan, contributing to the country’s efforts toward green and low-carbon travel.

Higer entered the Pakistani market in 2006. Since then, the company has been focused on technological innovation to develop high-quality buses tailored to Pakistan’s unique climate and road conditions, which are often characterized by dust and congestion.

The recently exported batch of pure electric buses offers various advantages, including zero emissions, low operating costs, and low noise pollution. These buses are expected to greatly improve public transportation operations and enhance the quality of residents’ travel experiences. With a cruising range of over 250 kilometers, the buses are equipped with the most advanced cathodic electrophoresis technology, ensuring an anti-corrosion period of more than ten years.

In terms of software intelligence, the 160 pure electric buses are equipped with the intelligent operation system T-BOX. This system allows for real-time monitoring of driver behavior and vehicle operation data, ensuring operational safety and passenger travel.

This development in the transportation field is a significant step for the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). It highlights the ongoing efforts to bring about more efficient and environmentally friendly reforms in the transportation sector.

The introduction of 160 electric buses to Pakistan marks a new starting point, promoting the high-quality development of CPEC and BRI in the field of public transportation.
