District Price Control Committee Sets New Rates for Daily-Use Commodities
The District Price Control Committee (DPCC) recently held a meeting to address the concerns of the general public and establish new rates for daily-use commodities. Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali announced the revised rates, which aim to provide convenience and affordability to consumers.
Among the commodities affected by the new rates is white grams (small), which will now be available at Rs.266 per kg in the wholesale market and Rs.280 per kg in retail. Black grams (big) will be priced at Rs.180 per kg in retail and Rs.190 per kg in wholesale.
Other commodities that will witness new rates include black grams (small) at Rs.168 per kg in retail and Rs.179 per kg in wholesale, gram pulses (big) at Rs.183 per kg in retail and Rs.195 per kg in wholesale, and gram pulses (small) at Rs.168 per kg in retail and Rs.179 per kg in wholesale.
In addition, retailers will sell Moong pulses (unwashed) at Rs.227 per kg, while wholesalers will offer it at Rs.238 per kg. Maash pulses (washed) will be available at Rs.477 per kg in retail and Rs.483 per kg in wholesale, while Maash pulses (unwashed) will cost Rs.450 per kg in retail and Rs.460 per kg in wholesale. Lentil pulses (big) will be priced at Rs.268 per kg in retail and Rs.278 per kg in wholesale, whereas Lentil pulses (small) will be available at Rs.294 per kg in retail and Rs.304 per kg in wholesale.
Besan (gram powder) will now be sold at Rs.182 per kg in retail and Rs.190 per kg in wholesale. Rice Basmati Super Karnal (new) will be priced at Rs.298 per kg in retail and Rs.305 per kg in wholesale, while Rice Basmati Super Karnal (old) will cost Rs.300 per kg in retail and Rs.310 per kg in wholesale. Rice Ari will be available at Rs.137 per kg in wholesale and Rs.142 per kg in retail.
Other commodities affected by the new rates are milk, yogurt (curd), mutton, beef, roti (100 grams weight), Roti Khameeri, and Naan simple. Milk will be sold in city tehsil at Rs.140 per liter and in other tehsils of the district at Rs.130 per liter. Yogurt (curd) will be priced at Rs.150 per kg in Tehsil City and Rs.140 per kg in other Tehsils. Mutton will cost Rs.1400 per kg in Tehsil City and Rs.1300 per kg in other Tehsils, while beef will be priced at Rs.700 per kg in Tehsil City and Rs.650 per kg in other Tehsils. Roti (100 grams weight) will be available at Rs.15, Roti Khameeri at Rs.18, and Naan simple at Rs.20.
Furthermore, the rates for fruits, vegetables, and poultry items will be updated daily to ensure accuracy and fair pricing.
