Earthquake strikes Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and neighboring regions
A powerful earthquake struck parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and its neighboring regions, causing tremors and panic among residents on Saturday. However, there were no casualties or property damage reported in the capital or surrounding areas. Despite the shaken residents seeking solace in reciting verses from the Holy Quran, no loss of life or property damage occurred in any part of the city as a result of the earthquake.
This recent earthquake comes after residents of Swat, Mingora, and nearby areas felt tremors on June 8th. According to the Seismological Centre, the earthquake registered a magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale and occurred at a depth of 188 kilometers.
