Business Owners Explore Morocco: A Resourceful Destination
A business delegation, led by Chairperson of the Pak-Morocco Business Council and Consul General of Morocco Ishtiaq Baig, has successfully returned from their visit to Morocco. Consisting of 25 influential businessmen from various sectors, the delegation also included MNA and former SVP of the FPCCI Mirza Ikhtiar Baig. During their visit, the team had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Hassan Berkani, the president of the Casablanca Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as the president and team of the Rabat Chamber of Commerce. B2B meetings were organized between businessmen from both countries, fostering further economic collaboration.
The visit also coincided with a biryani festival held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Rabat. Attended by diplomats, the ambassador of Pakistan, presidents of both chambers, and businessmen, the festival aimed to promote Pakistani rice and spices. Different types of biryanis were prepared by a Pakistani chef and his team, captivating the attendees with their flavors and aromas. This event marked the fourth biryani festival held in Morocco, further strengthening cultural and commercial ties between the two nations.
Notably, Morocco serves as a gateway to Africa and is a prominent business hub. Currently, bilateral trade between Pakistan and Morocco stands at $850 million. With the recent visit of the delegation, it is anticipated that this figure will experience further growth, presenting new opportunities for trade and collaboration between the two countries.
