Gold Prices Plummet in Pakistan Following Global Decline
Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a significant drop on Saturday, following a decrease in the international rate. The price of gold per tola fell to Rs239,400 after a single-day decline of Rs3,600.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10-gram gold also witnessed a decrease, selling at Rs205,247 after a decline of Rs3,086.
On the previous day, gold prices remained unchanged in Pakistan.
The international rate of gold also declined on Saturday, with the APGJSA setting the rate at $2,292 per ounce (with a premium of $20), down by $70 during the day.
In addition to the drop in gold prices, silver rates also decreased by Rs50, reaching Rs2,750 per tola.
It is worth noting that back in April, gold reached an all-time high of Rs252,200 per tola in the local market.
