### Shobha Karandlaje Calls for NIA Investigation into ‘Pro-Pakistan’ Slogan Incident

Udupi, Feb 29, 2024: Shobha Karandlaje, Union Minister of State for Agriculture, Farmers’ Welfare, and Food Processing Industries, has requested an investigation by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) into the incident where pro-Pakistan slogans were raised in the corridors of Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru on Tuesday.

Expressing her concerns to presspersons in Udupi, the Minister questioned how multiple individuals were able to enter Vidhana Soudha despite security arrangements in place for the Rajya Sabha elections, with entry restricted to those without a pass.

Karandlaje emphasized that Rajya Sabha member Syed Nasser Hussain should be thoroughly interrogated. “I will be writing a letter to the Union Home Minister, requesting the NIA to investigate this matter. The Congress party is attempting to divide the nation,” she stated.

Furthermore, Karandlaje accused Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of allowing unrestricted access to Vidhana Soudha in order to appease certain sections of the population. She expressed confidence that the truth will be revealed if the NIA takes up the investigation into the pro-Pakistan sloganeering incident.

Earlier, the Minister unveiled the Bharath rice at a price of ₹29 per kg in the vicinity of Adi Udupi Market area.
