Boosting Pakistan-Italy Cooperation in Various Sectors Advised by Analyst
Analyst Urges Pakistan and Italy to Strengthen Cooperation Across Various Industries
Dr Rasheed Ahmed Khan, an Industrial Relations expert, highlights the importance of Italy’s contribution to Pakistan’s industrial sector. Italy, as a member of the European Union and one of its founding nations, holds significant influence in Western Europe. The country provides valuable machinery to support Pakistan’s industrial development. Additionally, both Pakistan and Italy share common perspectives on numerous global and regional issues. Italy’s differing stance on the Gaza conflict and its refusal to send forces to Yemen demonstrate its unique position among Western nations. To enhance trade between the two countries, Pakistan can export textiles, rice, surgical instruments, sports goods, and other products, showcasing the immense potential for economic collaboration.
Brig (Retd) Ahmed Saeed Minhas, a Defense Analyst, emphasizes the role that the United States can play in resolving the Gaza conflict. He acknowledges the current reality that influence is often determined by economic and military strength. The Jewish community’s widespread investments and involvement in American politics have granted them a significant voice on the global stage. While the United States has the potential to end the conflict, its support for Israel is driven primarily by national interests. The international community’s failure to enforce United Nations Security Council resolutions condemning Israeli atrocities in Palestine has exposed the limitations of global organizations. However, Pakistan’s formidable military capabilities deter any hostile intentions towards the country. Pakistan consistently stands in solidarity with the Palestinian people in the face of Israeli aggression, exemplified by its recent dispatch of relief goods to Gaza.
Hajj, one of the five fundamental pillars of Islam, holds tremendous significance for Muslims worldwide. It is a pilgrimage that every financially and physically capable Muslim is obligated to undertake at least once in their lifetime. The Holy Quran explicitly mentions Hajj, emphasizing its importance. The event takes place during specific months, drawing Muslims from all corners of the globe in a display of brotherhood, unity, and equity. Performing Hajj with a pure heart is believed to absolve one of their lifelong sins. Over time, the means of transportation for Hajj have evolved from walking to using horses and camels, reflecting the changing times. Thus, Hajj not only encompasses sacred rituals but also connects pilgrims to the past and future, fostering profound spiritual experiences. The Saudi government consistently makes special arrangements to facilitate the pilgrimage for individuals traveling from various countries.
