Chinese experts collaborate with farmers in Lahore to enhance hybrid rice varieties

Chinese experts from the Longping South Asia Seed Research and Development Center have joined forces with local farmers on the outskirts of Lahore, Pakistan. Led by the experienced Long Chunjiu, who has dedicated 14 years to this cause, this partnership aims to cultivate superior hybrid rice varieties that can address food security concerns in the region.

One of the key steps in developing these advanced rice varieties is the transplanting of rice seedlings. Long Chunjiu has expressed his sincere desire, stating, “I deeply wish to ensure that more people have enough to eat.” This sentiment highlights the shared dedication to improving agricultural practices and increasing crop yields.
