Fpcci Welcomes Azerbaijan Envoy for a Memorable Visit
Azerbaijan Shows Interest in Boosting Bilateral Trade with Pakistan
The ambassador of Pakistan to Azerbaijan, Bilal Hayee, recently expressed Azerbaijan’s keenness to enhance bilateral trade and economic cooperation with Pakistan across various sectors. During his visit to the regional office of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) in Lahore, Hayee highlighted that Azerbaijan has eliminated import duties on rice from Pakistan. This move is significant as Pakistan is a major market for rice exports.
Hayee also emphasized the high demand for Pakistani pharmaceutical products in Azerbaijan and encouraged exporters to focus on this sector. He identified agriculture, industry, tourism, mining, and hospitality as potential areas of collaboration between the two countries, given their strong political ties.
FPCCI President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh held discussions with the ambassador regarding the enhancement of cooperation in trade, investment, technology, and the exchange of business delegations. Sheikh emphasized the importance of fostering business-to-business and people-to-people linkages, as well as joint activities, which will ultimately lead to increased bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
The close diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan lay a solid foundation for fruitful collaboration, and by tapping into the vast potential offered by various industries, both countries can benefit from mutually advantageous partnerships.
